Hi, my name is
Junda Shen.
I build things for the future.
I'm a software engineer specializing in building and occasionally designing large-scale infrastructure with ultra-high-performance code. Currently, I work as an SDE in the EC2 VPC org at AWS.
About Me
Hello! I'm Junda, and I recently earned my Master's in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Fast-forward to today, and I've had the privilege of working at an enterprise software corporation and an EV manufacturer. My primary focus is on enhancing workflows and creating scalable solutions with C++, Python, and JavaScript.
I have extensive experience in database management using MySQL and MongoDB, and a keen interest in high-performance computing, particularly with CUDA for accelerating general-purpose computations. Additionally, I've been involved in projects that scale services using containers and Kubernetes.
Here are a few technologies I've been working with recently:
- C/C++
- Python
- Java
- CUDA
- React
- Node.js
- MySQL
- MongoDB
- Elasticsearch
- Kubernetes

Some Things I've Built
view the archiveMassively Parallel Computing
Optimized a convolution algorithm using C++ and CUDA to massively accelerate computation for deep learning applications, specializing in image and audio recognition.
Traffic Light Detection
A Deep learning-based approaches to implement real-time traffic light detection with high efficiency and robustness under various scenarios.
Online Order Platform
A full-stack web application for dish ordering and recommendation, designed to help restaurants attract and retain customers.
Cool Compiler
A compiler for the Classroom Object-Oriented Language (cool), designed by Alexander Aiken for use in an compiler course project. This project covers the frond-end of the compiler: lexical analysis, parsing, semantic analysis, and intermediate code generation.
PintOS
A simple operating system for the 80x86 architecture that supports kernel threads, loading & running user programs, and file system.
Athernet
A Python-implemented toy network that transmits data through audio connections.
